Dave Cates

Dave Cates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and strategy roles. Currently serving as Managing Director at Insight Partners since 2017, Dave has progressed through various positions including Principal, Vice President, and Senior Associate. Prior to Insight Partners, Dave held the role of Chief of Staff for Biz Ops & Strategy at Skillshare.com from 2016 to 2017 and worked as a Consultant at Bain & Company from 2012 to 2016. Additional experience includes an Associate position at Accion’s Venture Lab from 2014 to 2015 and a Consultant role in Social Protection & Labor at the World Bank Group from 2011 to 2012. Dave Cates holds a Master of Public Policy and a B.A. in Economics, both from the University of Virginia, completed in 2012 and 2011 respectively.
