Ravish Malhotra

Ravish Malhotra is a Senior ML Scientist specializing in Computer Vision at insitro since June 2023. Previously, Ravish held the position of Senior Computer Vision Engineer in Advanced Imaging at Verily from January 2019 to March 2023, where responsibilities included leading the development of AI-assisted solutions for Gastroenterologists and General Surgeons, as well as creating a real-time visual SLAM and sparse 3D colon reconstruction pipeline. Previous roles at Verily also encompassed work on computer vision algorithms aimed at enhancing the usability of ophthalmic devices, contributing to a successful $50 million Series-A spinoff. Earlier experience as a Senior Systems Engineer at SiTime focused on developing characterization systems and calibration algorithms for MEMS timing devices. Ravish holds a BASc in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
