Ron Ommerborn

Ron Ommerborn is an experienced professional in algorithmic trading and technical support, currently serving as Executive Director at Instinet Incorporated since August 2000. Under this role, Ron has leveraged architectural knowledge to design a global support tool for monitoring servers and components, significantly reducing developer support requests. Previously, as Head of US Product Services, Ron led a technical service team dedicated to the Instinet product suite and collaborated with the electronic trading desk on performance reviews and strategy enhancements. Earlier roles at Instinet included contributing to the development of early trading strategies, supporting the flagship Newport application, and providing advanced support for key trading tools. Prior to Instinet, Ron managed the Customer Support Desk at Mergent, Inc. and holds a BS in Physics/Math from Saint Michael's College.
