The Kuchina group is seeking a Research Associate I to assist in the development and application of genomic tools for studying bacteria at a single-cell level. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-directed, and strongly detail-oriented individual with experience in molecular biology techniques. A successful candidate must be able to learn, understand, plan and execute multi-step experimental protocols. Familiarity with microbiological techniques, as well as genomics workflows including library preparation, qPCR, next-generation sequencing, and data analysis is preferred.

Candidates may be considered for Research Associate II or Research Associate III title depending on experience.
Our research directions include development and application of single-cell sequencing technologies for bacterial biofilms and the microbiome. A successful candidate will work closely with the PI and team, play an important role in advancing the technology and its application to biological questions, and have opportunities to gain new skills and proactively participate in research projects and publications.

Pay range: RAI range - $20.73 - $31.92 per hour
