The Institute of Sport and Exercise Medicine (ISEM) is a division within the Department of Exercise, Sport and Lifestyle Medicine at Stellenbosch University.
Our vision is to be a global leader in sport and exercise medicine in and for Africa, by optimising the well-being and performance of all patients/clients through the coordination of transdisciplinary research across faculties, as well as teaching and service provision in the field of sport and exercise medicine.
ISEM offers several courses in sport and exercise medicine while conducting ground-breaking research and translating this knowledge back to the community and the medical field.
