Timo Uustal has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and technology industries. In 2018, they co-founded Nursebeam, a company that provides medical assistance through a chatbot for people seeking healthcare while traveling abroad. Timo served as the CEO of Nursebeam.

Timo also worked as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Antler, a founder-centric accelerator, where they gained valuable knowledge about startup dynamics in the South-East Asian region.

In addition, Timo Uustal has been involved in various hackathons organized by MIT Hacking Medicine and MIT COVID-19 Challenge as a mentor, assisting participants in developing innovative solutions related to healthcare and tackling the challenges posed by COVID-19.

Timo also participated in the "Essentials of Global Health" program at Yale University. In 2019, they attended Trinity College Dublin and earned the "EIT Health Digital Health Validator 2019" degree. Additionally, they studied "Machine Learning" at Stanford University and "Health Information Literacy for Data Analytics" at the University of California, Davis. In 2018, they completed an online course at Startup School Online. In 2016, they attended Climate-KIC and focused on "System Innovation." Timo also participated in various short courses and summer schools, such as "Water Supply and Sanitation Policy in Developing Countries" at The University of Manchester in 2014 and "Youth Encounter on Sustainability - YES Course Kenya 2014" through myclimate Education.
