Ammad Baig has extensive work experience in the field of digital solutions, cybersecurity, and control systems engineering. Ammad started their career at SUPARCO in Pakistan as an Assistant Manager Research, where they worked on telemetry systems for canals. Ammad then moved on to work at Chevron via INTECH Process Automation, where they served as a Control Systems Commissioning Engineer and later as a senior Design and Application Engineer. In these roles, Ammad was responsible for commissioning projects, system upgrades, and integration of control systems. Ammad also worked at Chevron Angola via INTECH Process Automation as a Control Systems Engineer, ensuring the safe and reliable availability of control system equipment. Most recently, Ammad has been working at INTECH Process Automation as the Head of Digital Solutions and Cybersecurity, where they provide leadership in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise solutions for major oil and gas companies. Ammad oversees sales activities, project governance, and implementation across various teams.
Ammad Baig has a strong educational background in the field of control systems and automation. Ammad obtained a Control Systems Engineer degree from the International Society of Automation. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
In addition to their formal education, Ammad has also earned several certifications to further enhance their expertise. These certifications include Control Systems Cybersecurity Assessment from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Risk Assessment Specialist from the International Society of Automation (ISA), Certified Automation Professional from The International Society of Automation, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, and Functional Safety Engineer (FSE) from TUV Rheinland.
