Soila Pertet Kavulya is an accomplished engineer and data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and deep learning software development. Currently serving as a Lead Deep Learning Software Engineer at Intel Corporation since October 2013, Soila has also held roles as a Senior Data Scientist and Research Scientist within the company. As a co-founder and Head of Machine Learning at Zazu Sensor from January 2020 to April 2021, Soila contributed significantly to the intersection of technology and innovation. Previous internships at AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, and General Motors focused on developing diagnostic algorithms, prototype systems, and fault-tolerant technologies, respectively. Soila holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi.
