Shubhashis Chakrabarty

Shubhashis Chakrabarty is a Principal Scientist at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. since April 2022, previously serving as a Senior Scientist. Prior experience includes roles as a Visiting Scientist and Research Fellow at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service from October 2015 to April 2022, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MSTM, LLC from July 2014 to September 2015. Shubhashis also held the position of Visiting Research Scholar at UC Santa Barbara in early 2014 and worked as a Graduate Student and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia from 2008 to 2013. Earlier in the career, Shubhashis was a Scientist II (Synthetic Chemist) at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd from June 2007 to August 2008. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, an M.Pharm in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from BIT Mesra, and a B.Pharm in Pharmacy from Berhampur University.
