Tara was later promoted to Senior Manager of Training and Development in 2008, where they focused on risk assessment, loan valuation, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Tara also worked as a Senior Manager of Mortgage Servicing from 2009 to 2010.
Prior to their roles at ResMor Trust Company, Somerset worked as a Mortgage Underwriter at Home Trust Company from April 2004 to February 2006.

Tara Somerset has a strong educational background in the field of business and finance. In 1995, they attended Alberta School of Business and completed a degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. This provided their with a foundation in general business principles and management strategies. Moving forward, in 2012, they pursued a degree in Project Management from Mount Royal University. This program equipped their with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage and execute projects within various industries. Finally, in 2013, Tara attended IFSE, where they obtained a degree in Canadian Funds Management, focusing on Banking and Financial Support Services. This program enriched their understanding of the banking sector and provided their with the expertise necessary to navigate and thrive in the financial industry.
