Afua Twum-Darko has solid work experience in the finance industry. Afua started their career in 2014 at Intelligent Debt Management Group as a Financial Consultant, assisting clients with debt solutions and providing financial education. In 2014, they also became a Financial Consultant Team Leader, responsible for training and managing a team of 12 individuals to meet revenue targets.
In 2018, Afua moved to Intelligent Debt Management as a Client Services Manager, where they established a proactive team to engage with clients and provide updates on their debt management journey. Afua also became a Partner Account Manager in 2019, managing stakeholder partner relationships and ensuring the success of partnerships through regular reporting and training.
In 2020, Afua joined Sanlam Credit Solutions as a Platform Client Engagement Manager. Their responsibilities include presenting at management and board meetings, managing operational and Popi Act risks, analyzing and presenting data for marketing purposes, managing call center teams, and running the sales function for revenue-generating products.
Afua Twum-Darko has a diverse education history, starting with their higher diploma in Matric from St. Cyprian's High School, which they obtained from 2000 to 2007. Afua then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting at the University of Cape Town from 2008 to 2012.
After completing their undergraduate degree, Afua went on to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies with a focus on Marketing from the University of Cape Town in 2013. Afua further enhanced their skill set by obtaining a Certificate in Project Management from GetSmarter in 2017.
In 2021, Afua attended GetSmarter once again to attain a Certificate in Advanced Excel from MasterGrade IT. Additionally, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Management Studies at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town in 2020.
To expand their knowledge in the field of data analysis, Afua pursued a Data Analysis course from GetSmarter in 2021. Overall, Afua Twum-Darko has consistently sought opportunities to enhance their education and skills in various areas of management, marketing, project management, finance, and data analysis.
