Yusuf Da Costa has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Yusuf began their career in 2009 as an IT Administrator (Volunteer) at Naqshbandi South Africa. In 2011, they worked as a Desktop Support Technician and later as an IT Technician at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. In 2013, Yusuf briefly worked as a Junior IT Administrator at Intelligent Debt Management.
From 2014 to 2021, Yusuf gained valuable experience at Stellenbosch University. Yusuf served as a Junior Computer Technician from 2014 to 2015, a Support Administrator for Business Applications from 2020 to 2021, and a Computer Technician/Junior IT Manager from 2015 to 2020. Their roles involved tasks such as troubleshooting technical issues, supporting learning and teaching platforms, and administering virtual classrooms.
In 2021, Yusuf joined Blackhill Technologies as a Desktop Support Engineer. In this role, they researched and identified solutions to software and hardware issues, diagnosed and troubleshooted technical issues, and provided technical support to clients.
In 2022, Yusuf worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Capitec Bank, where they provided support to customers and resolved technical issues.
Currently, Yusuf is serving as a Senior Information Technology Systems Engineer and Project Lead at Intelligent Debt Management, starting from 2023.
In addition to their professional experience, Yusuf also owned and operated Muhammad Yusuf Trading as Pulsar from 2009 to 2012. In this role, they managed buy-aid claims for pharmacies and handled invoicing and payment processes.
Yusuf Da Costa's education history is as follows:
From 2004 to 2008, Yusuf attended Pinelands High, where they obtained a National Senior Certificate. Their field of study during this time included English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Sciences, and Computer Applications Technology.
In 2012, Yusuf enrolled at A+ Computer Training Studios cc. where they earned an A+ PC Technician Certificate in Information Technology.
In 2015, Yusuf obtained a VBA Coding Certificate from Speccon Online Training, furthering their knowledge in Information Technology.
From 2017 to 2022, Yusuf pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
Additionally, in 2020, Yusuf completed a certification course in Advanced Databases and SQL Querying through Udemy.
In January 2015, Yusuf acquired a certification in Good Clinical Practice from the Clinical Research Education and Development (CREDE) institution.
