Role Summary

As a Case Development Specialist, you are responsible for investigating a large volume of files containing medical and insurance claim information to determine whether the possibility exists of recovering funds previously paid in error by our clients’ self-funded health plans, due to the potential fault of other parties.

This position focuses on interpreting information related to insurance and medical claims in order to both determine recovery opportunities and improve the accuracy and specificity of the overall subrogation case identification process. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to adapt to and develop new processes and priorities, excellent computer skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Review and compare medical claims data and property & casualty database results to determine liability/recovery potential
  • Interpret property & casualty database results
  • Recognize patterns in accident listings, medical claims data, and matters with recovery potential to improve overall accuracy and case creation volume
  • Data entry
  • Provide lien information as needed/where applicable
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls to members, attorneys, third party administrators, and insurance adjusters
  • Well-organization and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred but not required
  • Excellent computer and data entry skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Flexible with ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
