Agustin Filippo is a seasoned economist with extensive experience at the Inter-American Development Bank since February 2008, currently serving as Lead Economist and previously holding positions such as Senior Economist and Senior Operations Specialist, focusing on projects in Haiti and private sector development. Filippo has facilitated trade and investment as a consultant and coordinated economic operations in the Central American Department. Prior to this, expertise was developed in academia at the Universidad de Buenos Aires as an Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics and as a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors. Additional experience includes serving as an Economist at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, analyzing labor markets and social policy. Filippo holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, as well as degrees from EHESS in Institutional Economics.
