Lee Urquijo

Lee Urquijo is a Senior Information Technology Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) since October 2017, focusing on the inclusion and generation of technology and innovation within IDB operations. Prior experience includes a decade at FOMIN as a System Analysis & Development Specialist, and a project manager role at EBC, Inc., where responsibilities involved assessing project feasibility and resource alignment. Earlier, Lee contributed as a Software Engineer Consultant at IDB between 2001 and 2005, where a significant web-based learning management system for clients in Latin America and the Caribbean was developed. Academic roles include serving as an Associate Professor and thesis advisor at Universidad EAFIT. Lee holds a Professional Certificate in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Master’s in Information Technology and a Graduate Certificate in Software Development from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering from Universidad EAFIT.
