Senior Facility Inspector, Chief Power Engineer at Inter Pipeline Ltd

Jerry de Winter has a range of experience in the energy industry. Jerry started their career at Husky Energy as a Pipefitter and Gasfitter from June 2000 to April 2005. Jerry then worked as a Gas Plant Operator at Husky Energy from May 2007 to August 2012, where they operated the plant and worked in the field. Since 2012, they have been working at Inter Pipeline, where they started as a Pressure Vessel Inspector at the Cochrane Extraction Gas Plant. Jerry later became the Chief Power Engineer at the Cochrane Extraction Plant and currently serves as the Senior Facility Inspector and Chief Power Engineer. Jerry's experience includes the operations of gas plants, ethane extraction, NGL separation, and managing cryogenics and oil absorption processes.

Jerry de Winter attended several educational institutions throughout their career. In 2001 to 2003, they studied at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) and earned a Journeyman degree in Pipefitting and Gasfitting. From 2009 to 2013, Jerry went to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), where they obtained a degree in Power Engineering, specializing as a 3rd Class Power Engineer. In 2015, they attended ABSA to become an ISI inspector (In-Service Pressure Vessel Inspector). Additionally, in the same year, Jerry also attended API to acquire certifications in API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspections and API 570 Piping Inspections. Lastly, in 2018, they enrolled in the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors to gain expertise in ASME new construction inspections, earning a PEI and AI degree.
