Esteban Romero

Esteban Romero is a seasoned professional in the payments and technology sectors, currently serving as the Payments and Merchants Division Manager at Interbank since July 2020. Prior roles include Head of izipayYA, overseeing the integration of digital wallet services, and leading the technology team of Tunki to facilitate rapid distribution of financial relief during the pandemic. Before joining Interbank, Esteban was the Innovation and Technology Manager at Niubiz and played a pivotal role in founding Vendemás, a startup focused on enabling small and medium merchants to accept card payments. Previous experience also includes significant contributions as Innovation & Technology Director at Promotick and as Co-Founder and CTO of Bend. Esteban holds a Project Management diploma from the University of Valencia and a degree in Information Technology from Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil.
