Edward Mahaney-Walter

Edward Mahaney-Walter, JD, MBA, CFA, currently serves as Corporate Secretary, Associate General Counsel, and Executive Director at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, focusing on transactions and governance since September 2021. Previously, Edward held the position of Senior Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates from September 2013 to September 2021, where expertise included corporate restructuring, securities, and general corporate law. Earlier career experience includes managing equity research for Mooring Financial Corporation from January 2009 to August 2010, and working as an Associate at Morgan Stanley in commercial real estate lending and securitization from July 2005 to January 2009. Edward holds an MBA with honors from The Wharton School, a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and an AB magna cum laude in International Relations and Economics from Brown University.
