Christophe BONNAL is a Senior Expert at MaiaSpace since January 2024, focusing on the development of a new European launcher. With extensive experience at the Centre National d'Études Spatiales since 1987, Christophe holds multiple roles, including Space Debris Expert and Senior Expert in both the Strategy Directorate and Launcher Directorate. Formerly, Christophe led the Future Launchers Division, overseeing concepts and programs including the FLTP with ESA, and served as a project engineer for the Ariane 5. Active in various professional organizations, Christophe is a full member of the International Academy of Astronautics, serving as Chairman of the Space Debris Committee, and holds leadership positions in multiple aeronautics and astronautics associations. Educated at Centrale Lille, Christophe earned an engineering degree between 1980 and 1983.
