Michal Brichta

Vice President For Global Membership Development & Financial Matters at International Astronautical Federation

Michal Brichta serves as the Director of the Slovak Space Office - Industry Branch since May 2021, overseeing the implementation of initiatives for sector development, international collaboration, and outreach. Additionally, Brichta holds roles as Vice President for Global Membership Development & Financial Matters and Chair of the Europe Subcommittee with the International Astronautical Federation, as well as National Delegate at the European Space Agency. Brichta is also an Administrative Board Member at the EU Agency for the Space Programme and has been on the board of directors at the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency since July 2018, where responsibilities include leading projects in emerging high-tech sectors. Previous experience includes serving as a National Expert for the European Commission and as Public & Cultural Diplomacy Advisor at the Slovak Embassy in Moscow. Brichta's education includes a guest lecturer position at the University of Oxford and participation in an exchange program at the National University of Singapore, complemented by a degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
