Matthew Wallace

Matthew Wallace is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in science and technology policy, research evaluation, and international development. Currently serving as a Senior Program Specialist at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) since February 2016, Matthew previously held roles such as Lead Project Officer at UNESCO and Senior Evaluation Officer at the Canada Foundation for Innovation. Matthew's expertise includes strategic policy advisement at Environment Canada, where contributions focused on open science and climate change. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in History from UQAM, a Master’s in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Strasbourg, and an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Ottawa.
