Derek Enos is a Senior Software Engineer at Internet Archive since March 2021 and serves as a System Architect for Beacon Community Network, a community-run digital services platform in Beacon, New York, since June 2022. Derek also operates as a Designer/Fabricator for A Basement and previously worked as a Web Deployment and Information Retrieval Developer at the University of Idaho from February 2020 to October 2020, where contributions included developing an Elasticsearch instance for the Collection Builder platform. Prior to these roles, Derek was a Software Engineer at Octopart Inc. for nearly eight years, contributing significantly to full-stack development. Earlier experiences include ownership of Bad Handshake Electronics, freelancing for Human Condition, Technical Designer and Design Technician roles at Harmonix Music Systems, and a flatbed driver position at AAA Northeast, which provided foundational programming skills.
