Steven Zoppi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Steven is currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Services Integration and Architecture at Internet2, where they provide leadership for the organization's work in NET+ Services and middleware software development. Prior to joining Internet2, they worked as a Partner and Advisory CTO at Method Engine, specializing in digital media services and development. Steven also has experience as a Partner at StrataFusion Group, Inc., providing interim executive staffing and strategic consulting. Steven is the founder of the Consortium of Information Systems Executives, a community of practice for senior technology executives, and they also founded Collabri Group, LLC as its Managing Partner. Earlier in their career, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Sportvision and held executive positions at TiVo, Hotwire, Electronics for Imaging, and META Group, Inc.

Internet2 is a collaboration of many U.S.-based universities to develop networking and advanced applications for learning and research.The Internet2 community develops and deploys network technologies for the future of the internet. These technologies include large-scale network performance measurement and management tools, secure identityand access management tools, and capabilities such as scheduling high-bandwidth, high-performance circuits.Internet2 members serve on several advisory councils, collaborate in a variety of working groups and special interest groups, gather at spring and fall member meetings, and are encouraged to participate in the strategic planning process.The Internet2 Project was originally established by 34 university researchers in 1996 under the auspices of EDUCOM.
