Zahra Mahoor

Zahra Mahoor, PhD, is a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Interos Inc, with extensive experience in designing and implementing machine learning systems, especially in the context of supply chain event detection. Previously, as Lead NLP Data Scientist at Loris.ai, Zahra developed a language suggestion algorithm to enhance customer satisfaction in live coaching software. An Artificial Intelligence Fellow at Insight Data Science, Zahra created a speech emotion recognition model for video calls. At the University of Vermont, Zahra served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, building an evolutionary robotics platform, and earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, where research focused on neural networks for adaptive learning. Additional experience includes a software engineering internship at AlchemyAPI (IBM Watson) and teaching computer science courses at Islamic Azad University.
