Kabu Katei has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.
Starting in 2008, Kabu worked at Cheddar's Casual Cafe as both a server and bartender, serving tables and mixing drinks. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a server at Pappas Restaurants, Inc., gaining experience in busy Tex-Mex restaurants in both suburban and urban environments.
In 2012, Kabu also worked as a Server's Assistant at Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, where they were responsible for various tasks such as preparing table-side flambé desserts and seafood, as well as carving specialized cuts of meat.
From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a National Account Representative at Arrive Logistics, managing day-to-day operations for a book of business generating annual revenue.
From 2016 to 2020, Kabu worked as a bartender at Hopdoddy Burger Bar, showcasing their passion for food and hospitality.
In 2020, they transitioned to Pinthouse Pizza as a bartender, where they not only provided customer service but also took on training responsibilities for new employees.
Currently, Kabu is employed at Interplay Learning, starting with a role in business development from April 2021 to September 2021. They then moved on to the role of Account Executive from September 2021 to January 2023. Currently, they serve as a Customer Success Account Manager.
Kabu Katei pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin, from 2008 to 2020. The obtained additional certification is "Account Management: Maintaining Relationships" from LinkedIn, which was completed in March 2023.
