Keshia Jackman

Keshia Jackman has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006 as a volunteer at Downstate Medical Center, where they assisted with patient record keeping, distributed meals to patients, and answered phone calls. In 2007, they volunteered at Brookdale Medical Center, where they organized and filed patient charts, distributed meals, and relayed messages.

From 2012 to 2012, Keshia volunteered at Maimonides Medical Center, providing companionship to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients, engaging in conversations to alleviate stress, and delivering specimens to the lab for analysis.

In 2013, Keshia interned at the American Diabetes Association through the City University of New York (CUNY) Service Corps program. Keshia assisted with projects and campaigns to spread diabetes awareness, conducted off-site workshops on diabetes prevention, and control for "at-risk" individuals.

Starting from 2014, Keshia had multiple roles at different companies. At Homecare At Its Best, they worked as a registered nurse, assessing vital signs, providing complete care, maintaining patent airways for clients with tracheostomy, and ensuring freedom from pain and injury. At Intersection Co., they held the positions of Senior Service Desk Engineer and Field Engineer, troubleshooting wayfinding equipment, communicating issues with the internal team, and collaborating with the QA team to resolve issues.

Lastly, Keshia worked as a registered nurse at AMERICARE HOME HEALTH, INC., where they assessed vital signs, administered complete care, maintained patent airways for clients with tracheostomy, and ensured freedom from pain and injury.

Keshia Jackman completed their education with a Master's degree in Medical Informatics from Downstate Health Sciences University in the years 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from CUNY New York City College of Technology from 2012 to 2014. Keshia started their academic journey at the same institution, CUNY New York City College of Technology, where they obtained an Associate's Degree of Science in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Keshia holds a certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
