Rahman Badru

Rahman Badru has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rahman started their career as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Nigerian Breweries Plc, where they were responsible for computing the company's KPI and assisting with electrical machine maintenance. Rahman also utilized Microsoft Excel for data analysis. Following this, Rahman worked as a Software Engineer/Cloud Engineer as a freelancer from July 2019 to February 2021. During this time, they gained experience in software engineering and cloud computing. In 2021, Rahman joined CyberSOC Africa, initially as a Cybersecurity Trainee before progressing to roles as a Security Operations Center Analyst and a Tier 1 Security Analyst. Their responsibilities included various security analysis tasks within a SOC environment. In 2021, Rahman also worked as a Cybersecurity Researcher at Zumaroc for a brief period. Currently, they are employed as a DevOps Engineer at Interswitch Group, which they joined in May 2022.

Rahman Badru completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Lagos, spanning from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they obtained various certifications in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. Some of these certifications include "Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate" from Microsoft in May 2023, "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2023, "Associate Cloud Engineer" from Google in December 2022, "Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)" from (ISC)² in December 2022, and many others. Their most recently acquired certification is "OPSWAT Network Security Associate (ONSA)" from OPSWAT in July 2022.
