Carl Nielsen is the owner of BIQed Inc., providing Business Intelligence consulting services since January 2008, with expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Data Integration, and end-to-end BI projects. In addition, Carl serves as a Senior Solutions Architect at INTRICITY since August 2018. Previous experience includes the role of Manager of Application and Database Architecture at National Vision, Inc., where Carl oversaw the conversion of the EDW and associated marts from SQL Server to Netezza, and work as a DBA and Data Developer at Cox Enterprises. Carl also held the position of Decision Support Services Manager at RaceTrac Petroleum, where responsibilities included designing and implementing the data warehouse and reporting systems. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Management Science from Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee and a Master's in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
