Huy Bui

Huy Bui is a seasoned software engineer specializing in computer vision and machine learning with extensive experience in algorithm development. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Intuitive since October 2020, Huy previously held the position of Senior Computer Vision Engineer at VanGogh Imaging, focusing on 3D object reconstruction and SLAM algorithms from July 2015 to September 2020. Huy's academic background includes a Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a Master’s in Electronic Technology and a Bachelor’s in Telecommunications from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Huy also contributed to academia as a Lecturer at HCMUT, teaching various engineering courses from November 2005 to September 2009, alongside research assistantship experience during graduate studies.
