Paul Millman

Paul Millman is a seasoned professional in the field of mechanical engineering and product development with extensive experience in surgical robotics. Currently serving as Vice President of Advanced Development at Intuitive Surgical since July 2003, Paul operates at the interface between research and product development. Previous roles at Intuitive Surgical include Vice President of Product Development, where leadership encompassed design, human factors, and clinical development engineering, and Director/Sr. Director of Product Development, focusing on user-facing roles. Early career experience at Computer Motion, Inc. involved mechanical engineering and management of surgical robotics projects. Paul also held a postdoctoral research position at Harvard University in Robotics, Haptics, and Teleoperation. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS in Engineering Science from Trinity University.
