Joel Schroeder

Joel Schroeder is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Engineering at Invenergy LLC since July 2004. In this role, Joel oversees the Engineering team responsible for a diverse range of projects, including Wind, Offshore Wind, Solar, Battery Storage, Thermal, Hydrogen, HVDC Transmission, and Desalination. Prior positions at Invenergy include Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technology, where management encompassed multiple engineering teams, and Vice President of Thermal Engineering, where notable projects included El Salvador's first LNG to power initiative. Previously, Joel held roles as Director of Thermal Technology & Engineering at Calpine and as a Regional Engineer and Project Engineer at SkyGen Energy. Joel holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Strategy from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, as well as both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
