David Putz

David Putz, Ph.D., possesses extensive experience in education and performance measurement. Currently a Management Analyst and Performance Measurement & Survey Administrator at the Iowa Department of Transportation since December 1996, David has a background in educational roles, including serving as a Board Member for the Ames School Board from 2009 to 2013 and working as a Project Coordinator at Iowa State University. In the latter role, David supported a faculty teaching and learning project by facilitating discussions, creating resources, and leading assessment efforts. Prior experiences include design and evaluation work for the Research Institute for Studies in Education and teaching mathematics at the Basehor-Linwood School District. David holds a Ph.D. in Education with a focus on Research & Evaluation from Iowa State University, along with a BS and MS in Mathematics from the University of Iowa.
