Scott McKellar serves as Principal Consultant and Head of the Scotland Office at Wellspring (IP Pragmatics Ltd) since October 2016, leading market scoping and IP landscaping projects with a focus on commercial opportunities, value proposition analyses, strategic business positioning, and route-to-market recommendations. Prior to this role, Scott held various positions at The University of Edinburgh, including Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where the research centered on pressure-tuning interactions in flexible porous frameworks and molecule-based magnets. Additional experience includes a stint as a Visiting Researcher at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre and MSD, as well as working as a Quality Control Analyst at Elementis Global. Scott holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an MSci in Chemistry, both from the University of Strathclyde.
