Dr. Narendra Mairpady, aged 68 years, is a Commerce Graduate and also holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Mysore University. He is also a certified CAIIB from the Institute of Banking. He has also obtained his Doctor Letters from Hindustan University, Chennai and Kalpagam University, Coimbatore. Dr. Narendra Mairpady has nearly 4 decades of banking experience. He joined Corporation Bank as a Trainee Officer in the year 1975 and rose to the position of Chief General Manager when his services were transferred as Executive Director of Bank of India in the year 2008. In the year 2010, he was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Overseas Bank from which position he retired in the year 2014.
