Alison Mason is a seasoned professional in the field of biopharmaceutical development, currently serving as Director of Cell Line and Upstream Process Development at Ipsen since February 2018. In this role, Alison oversees the upstream processing team responsible for the development and clinical manufacture of biologics, employing both microbial and mammalian technologies. Prior to this position, Alison held the role of Senior Scientist at MedImmune, where significant expertise was gained in cell culture and bioreactor processes, leveraging an in-depth understanding of cellular metabolism. Alison started their career as a Fermentation Scientist at Lonza after earning a BSc in Applied Microbiology from The University of Manchester in 1998.
