Wei Liu

Wei Liu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quantum technology, currently serving as a Team Leader and Product Owner at IQM Quantum Computers since November 2019. Wei Liu has led the development and production of quantum processing units (QPUs), managing wafer-level multi-qubit fabrication, integration, and verification processes. Prior experience includes roles at Aalto University as a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on microwave detectors and control techniques for superconducting qubits, and a Visiting Researcher position at the University of Cambridge. Wei Liu holds a PhD in Physics from UCL, complemented by a Master's degree in Electronics and Computer Science from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University. Additional experience includes early career roles at Lenovo as an Electrical Electronic Engineer and as a Senior Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at UCL.
