Edel Scally

Edel Scally is a seasoned medical scientist with extensive experience in the field of transfusion science, currently serving as Chief Medical Scientist and Training & Education Officer at the Irish Blood Transfusion Service since May 2014. Previously held positions include Medical Scientist roles at St. James's Hospital and the Tissue Bank of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service. Edel Scally began a career in research as a Scientist at Lund University and completed a Master of Science in Transfusion and Transplantation Science at the University of Bristol, complementing academic credentials with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Technological University Dublin. In addition, Edel Scally has pursued leadership training to enhance management skills.
