Tom Fitzpatrick is an experienced editor and editorial leader with a strong background in journalism and charitable work within the construction industry. Currently serving as Editor and Head of Editorial Development at the Irish Examiner since August 2019, Tom has previously held editorial positions at Construction News, including Editor and Deputy Editor from July 2014 to June 2019. In addition, Tom was a Trustee for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity from April 2016 to June 2019, contributing to the support of construction workers facing accidents or illnesses. Earlier career roles include reporting positions at Construction News, Evening Echo in Cork, and The Irish Post in London. Tom is an alumnus of University College Cork.
