Mattias Johansson

Mattias Johansson is an accomplished R&D Group Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Irisity since January 2019, with additional experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Visionists, where contributions included designing convolutional neural networks for image segmentation of satellite imagery and integrating lidar with camera data for road detection. Previously, Mattias served as a System Design Engineer at Thorlabs, where software for the Optical Spectrum Analyzer was developed from inception, and held a Researcher position at Chalmers University of Technology, implementing algorithms from a PhD program in Optical Remote Sensing. Mattias holds a PhD and MSc from Chalmers University of Technology, obtained between 1999 and 2009.
