Kate Espinosa, MPP, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as Deputy Editorial Director and Managing Editor at the Irregular Warfare Initiative, where collaboration with authors ensures adherence to high publishing standards and simplifies complex topics for wider audiences. With extensive experience in the United States Air Force since 2013, Kate has held various leadership roles, including Airport Operations Branch Chief and Executive Officer for the 374th Airlift Wing, successfully managing operational issues and supporting large personnel bases. Notable previous roles also include overseeing air traffic operations at international bases and serving as a Case Manager for the U.S. Department of State in Baghdad. Kate holds a Master's of Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a degree in Geospatial Science from the United States Air Force Academy.
