Business Development Team at Irregular Warfare Initiative

Margaret Williams is an Engineer Officer in the US Army since May 2023, with prior experience as a Research Assistant at the Irregular Warfare Initiative from January 2022 to March 2024, where Margaret contributed to editing and publishing articles on irregular warfare. In the summer of 2023, Margaret served as a Special Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, supporting the Economic and Regional Affairs team in the Bureau of African Affairs. Margaret's involvement with national policy also includes a fellowship at the Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress from April 2022 to May 2023, culminating in a conference with policy leaders in Washington, D.C. In addition, Margaret worked in the International Economics and Competitiveness directorate of the National Security Council at the White House from May 2022 to July 2022. As of 2023, Margaret is pursuing a Master of Philosophy in International Relations at the University of Oxford, following a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, obtained in 2023, and a high school diploma from Deerfield Academy in 2019.
