Brianne Duffy is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in outdoor and environmental education. Currently serving as a Program Specialist at IslandWood since September 2013, Brianne focuses on teaching outdoor education programs aligned with 4th and 5th grade science curricula while developing enriching curricula for classroom and field experiences. Additionally, Brianne has held the position of Nature Teacher at Norman Bird Sanctuary since June 2013, leading immersive summer programs that promote naturalist skills. Previous experience includes student-teaching roles at North Kingstown High School and Archie R. Cole Middle School, where Brianne encouraged inquiry-based learning in science. Brianne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Biology from the University of Rhode Island, completed in 2013.
