Brian Thomson C.Eng MRINA is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as the Managing Director of The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and as a Non Executive Director for Visit Isle of Man, roles held since July 2021. Prior experience includes positions as Principal Surveyor at the Isle of Man Ship Registry and Senior Surveyor, followed by Marine Surveyor at the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development. Earlier roles were held at the American Bureau of Shipping, Gibraltar Maritime Administration, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and BAE Systems, showcasing a diverse background in marine surveying and naval architecture. Our three vessels, Manxman, Ben-my-Chree and the fast craft Manannan, operate regular ferry services between the Isle of Man, Heysham and Liverpool and seasonal services between the Isle of Man, Belfast and Dublin.
