Gemma Davison is a skilled medicinal chemist with extensive experience in cancer research and drug development. Currently, Gemma works at Isomorphic Labs since October 2022, focusing on medicinal chemistry. Prior to this role, Gemma served as a Postdoctoral Training Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research from July 2020 to October 2022, contributing to the design and synthesis of small molecule inhibitors for immuno-oncology targets. Gemma completed a PhD at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research, Newcastle University, where the work involved developing anti-cancer inhibitors from fragment-based libraries. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Scientist role at AstraZeneca, where Gemma engaged in late-stage optimization of kinase inhibitors, and a synthetic organic chemistry placement that resulted in a first-class honours research project. Education includes a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Newcastle University and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of York.
