Gupta Vinit has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Gupta started their career at Tata Engineering and Locomotive as an Officer Dealer Development, where they successfully launched a new compact car. Gupta then moved on to AREVA T & D as a Power Systems Engineer before joining Entergy. At Entergy, they held the positions of Supervisor EMS Applications and Data Modeling, where they managed a group responsible for critical EMS applications, and Area Manager, Substations, where they oversaw Transmission and Distribution Substations in Arkansas. Currently, Gupta is employed at ITC Holdings Corp., where they have held various roles including Director of Operations Engineering and Director of Transmission Management System Implementation. In their current role as Vice President of Operations, they provide overall oversight for operations at the company.

Gupta Vinit earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in the period of 1994 to 1998. Following that, from 2000 to 2002, Vinit pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical, Power Systems from Kansas State University. Additionally, Vinit holds a Reliability Coordinator System Operator Certification (RC) from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), although the exact date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
