Tao Feng has extensive work experience in the mining and exploration industry. Tao currently serves as the VP Technical Service - China at Ivanhoe Mines. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President at Pangea Gold Holdings Limited. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as the Regional Exploration Manager at Eldorado Gold Corporation, responsible for managing exploration at various gold mines in Northeastern China.
Before joining Eldorado Gold, Tao Feng worked at Mundoro Capital Inc. as the Project Manager and Senior Geologist, where they oversaw gold exploration projects in Liaoning Province, China. Tao also worked at Golden Phoenix Resources as the Project Manager & Senior Geologist, leading gold exploration efforts in Hunan Province, China.
Tao Feng's early career included roles as an Exploration Geologist with Kingsgate Consolidated Limited, Golden Cycle Gold Corporation, and Barrick Gold Corporation, where they gained experience in gold exploration projects in different parts of China.
Throughout their career, Tao Feng has demonstrated expertise in exploration management, drilling supervision, geological mapping and sampling, mine design, and environmental and feasibility studies.
Tao Feng completed a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Northwest University from 1995 to 1999. Tao then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Geology from the same institution from 1999 to 2002.

Ivanhoe Mines Ltd is a Canada-based mining company. The Company's segments include the Platreef property, Kamoa Holding joint venture and Kipushi properties. The reportable segments are engaged in the development of mineral properties in South Africa; exploration and development of mineral properties through a joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); and the upgrading of mining infrastructure and refurbishment of a mine in the DRC respectively. It is focused on three projects in Southern Africa: the development of new mines at the Kamoa-Kakula copper discovery in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Platreef platinum-palladium-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa; and the redevelopment and upgrading of the Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the DRC.
