Waseem Faizal Moosa CA(SA) is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial reporting and tax management. Currently serving as Financial Reporting and Tax Manager at Ivanhoe Mines since January 2018, Waseem has also held the positions of Group Financial Accountant and Assistant Group Financial Accountant within the same organization. Prior to this, Waseem gained valuable experience at PwC South Africa from January 2015 to December 2017, working as a Senior Associate and Associate in the Energy, Utilities and Mining Division. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Mining Tax Law from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, both obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Ivanhoe Mines Ltd is a Canada-based mining company. The Company's segments include the Platreef property, Kamoa Holding joint venture and Kipushi properties. The reportable segments are engaged in the development of mineral properties in South Africa; exploration and development of mineral properties through a joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); and the upgrading of mining infrastructure and refurbishment of a mine in the DRC respectively. It is focused on three projects in Southern Africa: the development of new mines at the Kamoa-Kakula copper discovery in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Platreef platinum-palladium-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa; and the redevelopment and upgrading of the Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the DRC.
