Jan Petracek has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmacovigilance and pharmaceutical industry. Jan started as CEO of iVigee in 2021 and also holds the position of Director at the Institute of Pharmacovigilance, where they are involved in developing a Global Pharmacovigilance Professional Certification program. Jan has also served as a lecturer at DIA Pharmacovigilance Courses since 2007 and has been an Advisory Board member of ISoP Online, leading various initiatives including the creation of the Global Pharmacovigilance Professional Certification program. Jan was a Strategic Advisor and later the CEO of PrimeVigilance Ltd., and a Board Member and President of PrimeVigilance Ltd. Jan worked as EU QPPV at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and MediWound, and as Chief Operating Officer and Board Director at ERGOMED PLC. Jan was also the CEO of PharmInvent, a service provider company where they were responsible for QPPV services, pharmacovigilance audits and training, and overall management of the company. Jan has also had the role of EU QPPV at Biogen.
Jan Petracek has a diverse educational background. Jan obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Quality and Safety in Healthcare from Imperial College London from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Doctor of Medicine (MUDr.) degree in General and Preventative Medicine at Charles University between 1994 and 2000. Additionally, they hold several certifications including Private Aircraft Pilot from The International Civil Aviation Organization and certifications in EudraVigilance Web Trader and XEVMPD from DIA/EMA. Jan Petracek also obtained the QPPV certification from DIA.
