Neel Rao has a diverse work experience, starting in 2018 with internships in Data Science at Accountability Counsel and Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY). At FLY, Neel conducted analysis and created a report to measure the organization's impact, as well as researching opportunities for expansion.
In 2019, Neel served as a Co-Instructor at Stanford University for a course on evaluating educational technology. They also worked as a CS + Social Good Fellow in Software Engineering at TeachFX.
In 2020, Neel interned as a Sand Hill Fellow in Data Science at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and worked in Product and Learning Science at Rhymes with Reason.
In 2021, Neel joined PeerTeach in a role involving Product and Engineering. In 2022, they became the Head of Data Science at Sonar and also worked as a High School Math Teacher at Teach For America.
Most recently, Neel has taken the position of Associate Product Manager at IXL Learning starting in 2023.
Neel Rao's education history begins in 2013 when they attended Liberal Arts and Science Academy for their high school education. They then went on to attend Stanford University from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Additionally, they also completed a minor in Education and received honors in Education during their undergraduate studies. Neel Rao further pursued their education at Stanford University from 2021 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Symbolic Systems.
