Shaelyn Thompson has a diverse work experience history. In 2011, they worked as a Baton Twirling Instructor, and since 2016, they have been a Michigan Twirler for the Michigan Marching Band. In 2018, they worked as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst for the Office of Academic Innovation, as well as a Citizen Interaction Design Junior Fellow for the Citizen Interaction Design Program. Additionally, they gained experience as a User Experience Field Researcher in the Public Sector through a School of Information Class Project. In 2019, Shaelyn became a User Experience Research Fellow for the Center for Academic Innovation. Presently, they work as an Associate Product Manager for IXL Learning since June 2020.
Shaelyn Thompson attended Hartland High School from 2012 to 2016. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information with a focus on User Experience Design at the University of Michigan from 2016 to 2020.
